Avoid using abrasive chemicals, sponges and scourers. Marble is porous, soft and chemically sensitive; avoid acidic and coloured foods, which may erode or stain the marble. The natural surface of the marble will keep food fresh. Do not expose marble to drastic temperature changes, which can cause cracks.
